There appears to be a conflict with TD Composer and the popular Shortcoder Plugin where when you add a Title+Text block to a page and try to edit the text, the editor in the pop-up window won’t render. Deactivating the plug-in solves this.
This is on a clean/fresh install of Newspaper 8.6 using TD Composer 1.0. Haven’t yet tried 8.7 and the new TD Composer, but will once the bugs are ironed out.

So the problem is happening only when that plugin is active, we have not made any tests with that plugin so I could not say why that is happening unfortunately, or if there is a solution.
You could try a different one which has the options you need, if that one is causing issues such as the ones you mention.
Yes, we will be moving to a different one, but I thought I’d let you know since Shortcoder is a very popular plug-in and in case you want to diagnose what is happening with the theme.
