The current website has been built on Wix for 4 years, and we plan to switch to WordPress + Newspaper theme. I plan to connect our sub-domain to WordPress and create a complete website first, then disconnect this sub-domain and replace it with the main domain. Is this possible?

First, we assign the Newspaper license to its subdomain “blog.ABC.com” to design a complete website on WordPress. After finishing, we can replace “blog.ABC.com” with the “ABC.com”. In this way, our website can change from Wix to WordPress, and our clients can visit it without any delay. Last, we will cancel the Newspaper license previously assigned to “blog.ABC.com” and re-assign it to “ACB.com”. Is that right?
