I have newspaper v6.2 installed on my website.
URL : http://www.naukrinama.com
I have a category page “States” : http://www.naukrinama.com/states
The layout of this page is automatically generated by the theme.
Now i have created a custom page with URL : http://www.naukrinama.com/state-jobs
I want to link this custom page with the “States” category, so that whenever this category is clicked or selected by default this custom page should open.
How can this be achieved ? Let me know the resolution to this.

Do you refer to the menu item “States”? Why you don’t use a page there(I suggested in other topic how to make a page megamenu) so it will link to that page. Or you can add a custom link to the main menu instead of the category.

The option to create a custom page link in menu is always available, but the trouble is when Google crawls the site for SEO it’ll find the category slug URL different and the custom page which i created for States different. Hence there would be content duplicacy.
What I want is that My custom page becomes the default page of the category “States”.
Let me know how can that be achieved ?
Also is there any way through which a custom template can be created for a category in which widgets and blocks can be added. Right now there are fix templates available for a category.
