I’m converting a Drupal website into WordPress using Newspaper theme. There are about 7000 posts and 600 authors. Is it advisable to custom code the authors or to populate this information (fname, lname, bio, jpg) into users? Presumably the required email address would be a generic editor@domain. The WP users would not have any logon privileges. Is this possible? And if so, can the Newspaper theme display a searchable and alphabetized list of authors? Are there any security concerns having so many WP users? Thanks

If the authors are present in the users section of wordpress, our theme does have an authors box element in the tagdiv composer which will show a list of all authors with a possibility to sort by name or by post count.
