Yes, you need to optimize your website for WordPress.
See the theme docs on “how to speed up your site” — and also, the “tutorials/DIY” and “best of forums” for addtional how to.
You should also check one of your post pages with GTMetrix.com as this will outline the stuff you need to optimize such as caching, time to live/expiration headers, gzip/deflate, image compression, etc.
isnt this a problem with the theme as its saying that there are blocking JS resources and css scripts and its showing up as critical error . I have just barely added some content using the theme and I dint use any js or css
All themes have ‘render blocking js and css’ … if you research this further, then you’ll learn it basically means some parts of the page were held up waiting for css and js before showing the top part of the page.
The included booster plugin helps with the theme css/js.
But other plugins, avatars, ads, jetpack, etc. can also impact this.
Trick is to fix everything *except* that as you can get a 90+ score then worry about that last as it’s the least important thing to fix.
*all* themes which include page builders, sliders, mega menus, etc., will have this “issue.”
Again – fix everything ELSE first!
