Hi Support,
I believe that this problem can be fixed very quick, but I just can´t figure out the solution!
1.) Please visit this category page of my website:
https://www.motivationsheld.de/category/selbstverwirklichung/konzentration-steigern/
As you can see, the featured image (at the very top) includes a smart looking guy with a chess piece. I really like it and don´t want to change anything here! BUT:
PROBLEM #1: As you can see, this image (with that smart looking guy) repeats as a background image. And that looks crap! I dont want it stratched, tilled, default or whatever !!!! I just don´t want it as a background image. What I want is a complete other image as background OR white background (hex #ffffff). BUT: I want to KEEP that image as the featured image of this category!
2. Please visit this article (which is a child of the same category):
https://www.motivationsheld.de/pomodoro-technik-lernen/
PROBLEM #2: As you can see, this child article takes the background image from it´s parent category what looks even more crap! Again: As the FEATURED IMAGE in the category, this image looks amazing! But I don´t want it as a background image. Not in the category and certainly not the child article! I either want a custom background image here or at least a white background (hex #ffffff).
I really appreciate your help!
Many Thanks,
Oliver
Hello Oliver!
You should access your category and disable this option: https://prnt.sc/-SCO1GIG7g5a
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Hello Bettina,
no – that didn´t fix the problem.
Please have a look here now:
https://www.motivationsheld.de/category/selbstverwirklichung/konzentration-steigern/
By switching the button “BACKGROUND BOXED LAYOUT” to disabled, the category boxes now take up the entire space from left to right.
This is not what I want.
I want to keep the empty space on the left and right – as for example here:
https://www.motivationsheld.de/category/selbstverwirklichung/lebensziele-erreichen/
BUT: I don´t want the featured image (of the category) to be repeated in the background.
I either want a DIFFERENT IMAGE or just WHITE COLOR (CSS: hex code #ffffff) in the background.
How can I do that?
Many Thanks,
Oliver
Hello Oliver!
Please make sure you have the background style default or stretch and not tiled: https://prnt.sc/yB98UQ20ItIe
Thank you!
Hello Bettina,
this didn´t help, too. The archive boxes are still filling out the complete space from left to right – and that is not what I want.
Please let me explain it again by showing you a screenshot:
https://prnt.sc/DFkRhJw-fUey
In this screenshot, I am showing you 3 fields:
Field Number 1: I want to KEEP (!) this area as an empty space, but I don´t want that image as background. I either want the background WHITE (#ffffff) or a custom background image (which is different to the image in field number 2).
Field Number 2: Everything perfect here! No changes!
Field Number 3: Same as field number 1
This is a screen shot of my settings for the category, which I showed you with above screenshot: https://prnt.sc/_c7XKhBgXFVF
And this is a screenshot of my setting (due to your last suggestion, which doesn´t fix my problem): https://prnt.sc/_c7XKhBgXFVF
Thank you!
Hi Bettina,
it seems that the links to my screenshots are broken …
Anyway … I now made a screenshot which describes my problem even better:
https://bilderupload.org/bild/ab2b02764-newspaper-problem
Please understand that I just want one thing:
Changing The background image into another picture! OR: giving the background a CSS rule to paint it white (#ffffff). Another picture would be better, but both solutions are fine for me.
Everything else (the picture at the top, boxed layout, sizings, …) should stay exactly as it is!
Many Thanks,
Oliver
Hello Oliver!
Please edit this category with the TagDiv Composer and make sure the row is not stretched with content and set it as default: https://prnt.sc/6Xin4izBM6fU
In this case, the image should not be stretched and the margins filed 1,3 will have white background.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hello Bettina!
No, this doesn´t work either.
This is how it looks now:
https://www.motivationsheld.de/category/selbstverwirklichung/lebensziele-erreichen/
The row with the “Category Background Image” became smaller in the width now. Now it has not anymore the same width as the header (navigation) and the “post loops”. This is not what I want.
The background image (on the left and right) is still the same problem.
This is a screenshot of the (same) category in my category-settings:
https://prnt.sc/fz78dcGSyo0O
What do we try now?
Many Thanks,
Oliver
