Custom Block Layout

Is there any documentation on how to impliment a custom layout block. I already know to use the child theme for customizations..

I’m looking for something similiar to Block 3 (which is 3 images with title below stacked) but I want it full width (image cropped but full width – similar to the slide) and also add 4 – 6 lines of the excerpt.

I tried searching the forums and didn’t come up with anything yet so I appologize if this has been asked before.

Unfortunately we don’t have a guide available for this.

What you could do is to use the latest article section on your page and use the module 7 layout with or without the excerpt, you will have look like this (without excerpt): http://screencast.com/t/njj39Tytqa1 – with excerpt: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/module-7-category/

Unfortunately the module 7 is an extension of module 1 which can’t be used on blocks, just on loops that is why you have to use the template with latest articles section.

The link you sent looks pretty much what I want. Just a little curious how I go about doing it. When you mention use the template with latest articles section… I can’t find a template that mentions the “latest articles” when trying to edit the page.
