custom field sizing problem with 12.3.1 update

With the 12.3.1 update the Custom Field box has a serious glitch: with the default “auto” width option the box fails to display in full width on the page (it has a width of approximately 300px only in a 1300px wide placeholder). In the previous 12.3 version it worked properly. I have reverted back to 12.3 version, and now it works properly. So the faulty display has been introduced by the 12.3.1 update.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I use a text type custom field that contains an iFrame code from Simplecast to display the Simplecast player above my posts (the box is inserted in a Newspaper post cloud template).

It has worked all right in previous Newspaper versions including 12.3: the Simplecast player displays in full width of the custom field block on the page.

When I update to Newspaper version 12.3.1 the iframe player’s width gets limited to like 300px, although the custom field box is set to auto-width.

Here is an example for the iframe code:

Are you not able to reproduce this behaviour on your test site with the custom field box and the iframe code above?

Because I am still running Newspaper 12.3 on my site (since it is a podcast site, the player is a crucial part on the single post pages, I’d rather not update till it works all right).

But if you cannot reproduce this error on your site, then it might be a plugin conflict or something else on my side…
