So basically on my news website I have in the old script Posts that are news and Posts that are blogs.
I read that the best way to do it in WP is via custom post types. Please advice how in your theme I should procede to use the default Posts for news and create Blog Posts identified as blog_post

To add a new post type you can use our td-custom-post-type.zip plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-post-type-support-newsmag/ Basically the theme uses the default implementation from WordPress regarding custom post types but using this plugin give you a practical example on this.
Note that you will need some coding skills in order to register a new post type and work with it.

I basically need exact copy of posts into “blog_posts”. How can I see what has gone into posts as far as taxonomy and fields to be able to duplicate it into “blog_posts”?
