I created a custom post called “classifieds” but it appears that the single-post-template is not inheriting from the global “post” template setting from the theme panel – “default site post template”.

I wanted the sidebar to start from the top (just as it is for all single-posts)
How do I apply the single-post template for a custom single-post?

Hi,
The sidebar position depends on the post template https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-post-templates/ also you need to make sure that your image has a thumb, only in this way it will be display as in our guide.
Also please notice that is possible to have some individual post template https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-theme-thumbs/ that will overwrite the general template from theme panel.
