These 2 things don’t seem covered by Custom Typography settings in Theme Panel.
1. I have set everything I can to the ‘Helvetica Neue etc’ option but if I click on a category tag I am taken to a page which still has a Roboto font saying the category name with the summary of other category posts.
This is what Inspector gives – but I don’t know how to add the font family ?

<span>category name/span>
</h1>
My font family:
{ font-family: “Helvetica Neue”, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;

2. Search results page e.g. ‘XXXX – search results’ this is also Roboto. Similarly this is what Inspector says if it helps?:

<span class=”td-search-query”>xxxx</span> – <span> search results</span>
</h1>
PS I have not yet updated to the latest version as it seems there are a few bugs?

The page title option from theme panel >custom typography apply’s to the page title of default templates. You can change the page title font size/color/family… on category pages and search results page also by using this custom css in theme panel >custom css field:

}You can updated the theme to the latest version and let us know what issues you encounter and we will try to provide a fix fro them.

Sorry a bit late getting back to you – I did try at the time, it didn’t work, I went back to it today having updated to 4.6.1 but still no success.
What I am trying to do is have only a san serif Helvetica / Arial (I have more fonts than this named in my css) .

We will fix those settings in the version 5, until that you can use Custom CSS to style each element.
If you want to change the font family for category page title and search page use this CSS
.category .td-page-title span,
.search-results .td-page-title span {
font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
}
