Hi there,
Three quick questions I was hoping you could help solve
1. How dt stop the text logo appearing in the header and footer and only show the image logo?
2. Remove Author Meta data on post pages
3. Set the temperature element to display the temperature of the location of the user
Thanks
Ari
Hi Ari,
1. You need to use tagDiv Composer edit the homepage and select the logo from header, then select the svg tab and remove the code from there – https://i.imgur.com/zkR1mV6.png this operation is need to be done on all header logos you are using (header, footer, sticky header, mobile header) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/
2. From blocks it can be removed globally using the theme panel settings from Theme panel > blocks settings > meta info on modules/blocks – https://i.imgur.com/daSq2MT.png and for removing it from articles use tagdiv Composer to edit the single post template, and use the right click on element you want to delete – https://i.imgur.com/rl6q5O2.png – https://i.imgur.com/GTJmGPV.png
3. Unfortunately the element for the location is not working like that to display for each user the location where he/she is accessing the website, sorry!
Thank you!
Hello,
If the author bio is inside the single post content then most possible is adding by an extra plugin, if is around the Single Post Content, the it can be the theme element – Single Post Author Box – https://i.imgur.com/Q4c3Rbj.png
Thank you!
Hi,
To remove an element you can use select it and press the delete button, or use the right click and select the delete option from right click menu – https://i.imgur.com/82Yn3wV.png
If the author box is inside the Single Post Content then is added by an extra plugin that you are using.
Thank you!
Hi there,
Thanks but that deletes the whole element including the article.
We have not added any plugins and are using the exact template as this one here:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_towntalk_pro/2023/06/16/td-post-community-unites-to-support-families-affected-by-recent-natural-disaster/
Can you please advise how to remove the author block at the base?
Thanks
Ari
Hi Ari,
That is the theme author box and can be deleted exactly as I mentioned above, in this screenshot https://imgur.com/82Yn3wV I selected the Single Post Author Box element and using the right click I deleted the element, make sure you do not select the row contain the element, then will remove everything from that row https://i.imgur.com/kWyI4ph.png
Hi Ari, your site is in coming soon mode, so I can not check the element to see the exact tags, but checking the video, you are not using the theme element, that one is not in the pot content element, is a different element.
I suggest to make a test using only tagdiv plugins to see if the author element is removed, I believe it’s added by an extra plugin, maybe jetpack, or a plugin for users/authors.
Thank you!
I’ve taken the site off maintenance briefly for you to check as we had not added any plugins nor changed the post template I believe.
I’ll have to put the maintenance back on shortly so can create an Admin Login for you, but would need a private method of sending that to you if you can please advise?
Thanks so much,
Ari
Hi Ari,
As I suspected, the author box is added by an extra plugin -https://i.imgur.com/namoDrC.pngit appears to be the AIOSEO, just make a test and disable that and see if the author box is or not removed. To remove it you can check the plugin settings, should be something like this: Go to All in One SEO > Search Appearance > Author SEO in your WordPress dashboard.
