The Customize page in WordPress will not allow me to edit anything for the Newspaper theme. However, WordPress will allow me to edit other themes, so the problem lies within the theme. I am not able to click on anything to edit. And the live previews does not show either. Can you help me with this issue?
Generally with this theme you don’t use the WP customize panel, you use the “theme panel” provided with the theme, found bottom of the WP admin menu when you login.
Thank you. I have found my problem. I was never using the Toolkit provided by Envato. I was stuck on version 1.1. Once I used the toolkit, it allowed me to update the theme. However, I can use the customize panel, but cannot edit my logo or footer anymore. I’m guessing Either it is placed in a different area or everything did not update properly. I am now trying to edit my logo and footer on my website and can no longer find where I can update from “all rights reserved 2013” to “all rights reserved 2014.”
Hm. I ran into nothing but trouble with the ENvatio toolkit – and MANY theme devs have been recommending NOT using that to update theme, due to various problems.
But again, you generally want to use the theme panel provided with the theme, where there is section called “FOOTER” where you can edit the copyright. 🙂

Thank you. You are a hero. FYI I found the footer and it was in the most obvious place. Haha. I downloaded the ENvatio toolkit and it changed a few things around. Before I delete the toolkit, will this have any impact on what I did to the website?
