The demo I’m using is Local News. When I insert the word Nationals into the search engine, it gives me all the results that are attached to that category. But I do not want the word “Home” to come out as a result, nor do I want the word “international” as shown in the image.

Hi,
The theme uses the default WordPress search functionality, the same results would be displayed in default WordPress. You could disable this search, and try plugins that have more advanced settings that will allow you to have better control over the results if needed
