I would like to use custom CSS to style posts that have a sidebar at a different width than posts that do not have a sidebar.
There doesn’t appear to be any class in the DOM tree above the sidebar node where I can distinguish a post that has a sidebar.
Do you have any ideas? Could you add a distinguishing class to the body or article tag when the sidebar is present?

Hi,
Indeed, the structure would be similar for posts with/without sidebars until the sidebar. Maybe if the posts without a sidebar would all use a specific post template, you could use that as a difference.
What exactly do you want to customize about the posts with a sidebar or without one?
