cute sub categories to choose related posts.

Hi, for related posts at bottom of article, is there a way of using subcategories to choose related posts and not parent categories?

Hi,

The Related Articles block displays the posts which have at least on common category(parent or not) with the current post.
Unfortunately there are no other filter options for this block in panel, sorry.

all my posts have both a subcategory and a parent caetgory. But it always chooses the parent.

This must be coded somewhere and therefore changeable? thks
