I want to remove all date in the blocks and sidebar, but leave the date in the articles. I can edit the code without breaking work theme?

Hi,

You need to edit all modules and comment or remove date: http://screencast.com/t/B5oVWgglJ

Thanks!

I know this is an older article, but I tried this and it doesn’t work. Still showing up.

Hi,

It should work also in your case – http://screencast.com/t/IQrlfVNA
Please note that if you use child theme the modules files can’t be overwritten via child theme. Until then please make you change in the main theme file as we have changed the child theme system (for which we will have a documentation available soon) and because of that those files cannot be overwritten.

Thanks!

@alin aw I see I am going to give that a try then.

Just to make sure, can I remove the comment, author and date meta tag from all the modules or is it from the ones I am using? Or do I need to keep them and add // to them?

On a side note, if there is a future update to the theme, won’t it erase what I did?

Hi,

You can remove or comment for each module where you don’t want to appear.
Updating the theme will remove your custom modifications to the files and you will need to re-add them.

Thanks!
