Hi, I need to remove this image from the style.css folder because it is causing a mixed content warning in some web browsers. How do I do this? Here is the result I get when I plug my website into https://whynopadlock.com:-

Total number of items: 237
Number of insecure items: 1

Insecure URL: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/couple.jpg

Found in: https://soapoperanation.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/style.css?ver=7.3

Hello SoNowner,

If you want to remove this image, please notice that you will have to get rid of it from your Media Library or from this path -> http://screencast.com/t/IlNeLRaZY4J7 -> http://screencast.com/t/h96s26peb and please notice that the CSS folder does not contain the images.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi Catalin,

I managed to update the path in the CSS that was causing that error. Now, however I’m still left with a broken padlock. Something inside the theme is breaking the padlock as illustrated by the section “Secure Calls made to other websites”:

demo.tagdiv.com returns some sort of error) when visitors go to my webpage. My SSL is installed correctly and HTTPS is configured so I know it has nothing to do with either of those two. Do you know why I would see the padlock on the admin dashboard (i.e. logged in) but not when i’m browsing as a visitor (not logged in)?

I would really like to resolve this. I have a store on the site and consumer confidence is important to me.

Thanks in advance.

Hello SoNowner,

I have checked your website and I noticed that warning. This is related to your favicon link. You was changed your URL to be in SSL and then you should have to change and the URL source for other resources as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/xoCOq5j4gMLt. Please check your theme panel and try to change the URL from here -> http://screencast.com/t/OCnfOlaqeKl , clear all your caches and test it again.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello Catalin,

I did as you instructed and the SSL is now back in place. I must say, i’m impressed!! I worked for 2 days trying to figure it out on my own. I should’ve saved myself the trouble and come the support pages first. Many thanks. Have a lovely day.

Regards,

SoNowner
