Difference between Post Grid and Block 15?

Hi

I’m still stucked with Custom Type Posts and i came to a Post Grid in Visual Composer. Wonderful, in Post Grid Settings i can simply choose CTP in Data Source and then later in Narrow Data Source, i can choose category of CTP – custom taxonomies.

Now please, tell me (no coder, no programmer) where is the difference with i.e. Block 15 where i can’t do this? It’s pretty obvious that Visual Composer can see all parts of CTP, but in Block 15 i cannot narrow down data source?

Hi,

The theme hasn’t been designed to work with CPT while the VC plugin has built in CPT support that’s why you can use VC post grid element and not theme blocks.

We might add CPT into the theme in the near future however we haven’t decided anything on this yet so I can provide details on it.
