The title says it all. Can I disable showing the authorbox under the articles at one specific author?

In order to achieve this, you have to use an if condition in td_module_single_base.php like this -> http://screencast.com/t/v7hbmCshdXLd and the author ID you should find like this -> http://screencast.com/t/jlqWwL7owqGu

Yes, to the next update, all the custom modifications will be overwritten and you have to implement this customization.
