Is there any way to disable comments on individual posts?
I do not want to disable comments sitewide, just on some select posts.

This is a built in function of WordPress.

Well, you can simply click the checkbox on a post when creating or editing each post; it’s built in to WP for many years. No need for a plugin unless you need to “bulk” turn off comments in the past.
