Is there an easy way in the settings that I’m not seeing to disable live search? Or do I have to change the whole header template to include a basic search?
Thank you
Hi,
If you want to have a basic search, then you need to use a cloud header from tagDiv Cloud library, edit it with tagDiv Composer, remove the live search and add the normal search -> https://i.imgur.com/2IzKYuK.png -> https://i.imgur.com/aHer1cG.png
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
So we will search the live search in 4 places? scroll header x2 and static header x2
Hello,
We have the same issue. Out database is huge, so we cannot use the live search anymore, as this overloads our server too often.
The instructions above appear for one page.
How do we remove live search for the whole site, both on mobile and desktop?
(Even if we have to edit code after each theme update, we have to do it because of the DB size.)
(We have over 80,000 posts. We do have a massive dedicated server, and it still struggles with searches. Or, if you have other suggestions, like a way to implement Google API search into the theme, let us know.)
Thank you.

Hi,
If you are using the last version of Newspaper theme, v10.3.2, then you can use a cloud header and remove with tagDiv Composer the live search element from desktop and responsive version.
If you have a previews version, please provide me a link to your website and I will let you know from where to remove the live search for the version you are using.
Thank you for your understanding!
