Hi all,
I’m new to working with word press themes.. We would like to be able to disable our mobile view all together. Our sidebar adds get placed on the bottom of the comments section, which cuts our add revenue in half in comparison to another site with similar views we have that doesn’t have a mobile version.
I’m searched the settings over several times.. looked through the forum, and can’t figure it out for the life of me.. I’ve seen some things online that suggest it is possible on some themes by editing the code, but I can’t seem to figure that out either so any help would be greatly appreciated.
We LOVE the newspaper theme, it is overall super easy to work with, and visually stunning.. however, if we can’t figure this out we will have to switch to a different theme which I’m sure wouldn’t look half as nice so we are really hoping to avoid that and hoping someone can help resolve this issue so we are able to..

All mobile themes are “responsive” which means they are designed to move elements on “the grid” depending on viewport, and if they don’t fit, they drop down to next row in grid.
I think you can alter the “break point” to keep the sidebar on ipad portrait if that’s the sort of thing you’re thinking, but obviously a sidebar on a small phone makes no sense.
TagDiv will be able to give you heads up altering the breakpoint (this is actually one of the reasons we use the Newsmag theme, to keep the sidebar on the iPad portrait view, which it does by default).

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to be disabled the mobile version, sorry! Our layout of the theme is responsive and the theme has been designed to look good on the mobile version. If you want to give up to the mobile theme, practically, you have to re-customize all the design for the theme for mobile devices and this involves custom work. Please notice that it is not a simple task and require to do some additional customization which involves better knowledge for PHP/HTML/CSS for a good implementation and best results. If you want to develop our theme in this regard and if you are not aware to the steps which have to be followed in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to do this for you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
