Disable specific categories, show only latest post and top cateogry

Hello

I want to disable some other categories appearing on my homepage. Since I didnt update the other categories I want it to be hidden in homepage. I only want to show the top big grids and the latest post.

I searched and read some post relating to this issue and it seems I cannot find the DISABLE button on the Theme > Categories..

I only see categories and subcategories.

Hi,

If you want on your homepage only Big Grid an latest articles, please create your page, set the page template to Pagebuilder + Latest Articles and add only Big Grid element using Visual Composer – http://screencast.com/t/33dPiRrV
Also you can filter articles(specific category) from Big Grid from settings – http://screencast.com/t/ojyybLGXN

Thank you Alin for helping me out.

First, it was hard where to find the visual composer or page build because I didn’t see it from Theme Settings or WP Settings, I found it in Page > Add new after searching from documentation.
