Disable/Delete all Authors Links/Pages/etc.

Hey all,

at the moment im building a new website and i wanna delete/disable every information/links/etc. regarding the authors on my newspaper theme. As my fundamental i use the classic “default newspaper” demo.

I dont find any option to disable my desired setting in the theme panel or the wordpress settings. What i did for sure was disabling theme panel > post settings > show author name “off”, but this only removes the authors information on each specific blog/post page. Also i use the plugin “disable author pages”, it works okay but not as i wish.

Here is the problem: For example, i use the “big grid slide” on my home page, with 4 blog articles presented in the grid. The blog article which is shown big on the left always shows the authors name and the date (under the title). I wanna remove the authors name and the possibility to click on it (sending the visitors to the authors page), so that there is absolutly no authors to see on my whole website.

I hope you will get my point! 🙂

Sorry for my english and greetings from germany,
Konrad

Hello Lapan,

If you want to rule out the author name for the entire website, please ensure that you turn off the both settings from theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/GQhHbKrC and from here -> http://screencast.com/t/7QvXa4alm clear all your caches and test it again.

Thanks for the message!

The options to hide the author’s box have been disabled from the theme panel, however, the problem is not solved as I would like.

I would like you to delete the URL that points to the author, I would simply like this name, but not the URL.

Hi,

If you want to make something like this, you need to remove that rule from the code. For what block is it? I need to know this so I can find in the code from where you have to remove it.

Thank you!
