I read that maybe the size of the photo is to blame, that now it requires 1200 width minimum.
I know that this theme meets the specifications for anything that requires the google. but the width in the article is 696. do you think this is to blame?

From what I know they require that your image size to be minimum 1200px. Newspaper Theme elements only render a smaller size but your image is still 1200. Can you provide a link to your website in order to take a look ?
