I’ve mentioned this several times before and found extremely laborious workarounds, but can anything be done about the variations in column length that Newspaper produces across different browsers?
Look at https://jazzjournal.co.uk/ in Chrome, then in Firefox. The same layout, not too bad in Chrome, produces ludicrously uneven column lengths at the bottom of the page in Firefox. This must be a problem for all Newspaper layouts, custom or cloud templates.

See how in Firefox the third column is much longer than in Chrome.
Column lengths are also very uneven in tablet views in the same browser. Maybe, despite so-called responsiveness, nothing can be done about tablet views, but certainly desktop should be consistent across browsers, no?
If you experiment with Safari, Chrome and Firefox you’ll see the effect for yourself. All looks very unprofessional, sloppy, doesn’t it?

Indeed there is a difference between columns if you have a small resolution under 1124px, but then the difference it is also on all browsers not only on Firefox or chrome.

Well, I’m using a 15″ MacBook (2880 x 1800 display) and seeing huge irregularities from browser to browser. What do you mean “to do with the terminal”?
And what about from viewport to viewport within Chrome? This vid shows movement from desktop to horizontal tablet to vertical tablet – huge discrepancy. Not exactly great responsiveness.

I tested on windows and the screenshot is it from Firefox.
Also when you resize the window the width of page (so the columns width will also change) is change and the content is the same and this need to adapt to the current resolution.

Hi Mark Gilbert, according to this screenshot from a MacBook pro that I got from one of my colleague https://i.imgur.com/jZ0TDJh.png yes, on that mac per Firefox look good. So I still think that has something to do with the resolution, but maybe the browsers are also interfering different the css that it’s use to adjust the columns.
We’ll make some more checks on one of our installs, maybe we can find a way to prevent that situation.
