Or will it still work with visual composer? There is a major feature in visual composer I believe is not in your new composer, so am I stuck on version 7 after only recently purchasing it?

As i understand it you can still run the v8.0 on the old composer.

The new page builder is not “required”. You can still use visual composer but with a few side-notes:
– Do not use both page builders at the same time. Choose one or the other.
– Visual composer will still receive updates and will still be provided in the theme package, but all the new features we will add in coming updates will be based exclusively on the tagdiv composer.
-We will no longer develop any new options for visual composer. Visual composer will remain as an optional alternative to the tagdiv composer.
