Double post in loop with infinite scroll

hello, we have double post and the post offset don’t work on home page.

here is an example : http://global.minutenews.fr

my setup is :
Filter the grid with only the category “a la une” and offset post at 5
filter the categorie “a la une” in the block with infinite scroll

as you can see , the offset don’t work and there is duplicated post when you scroll

i already disabled all plugin but VC , no change

can you tell me how to fix that or give me a fix ?

(i have the support enabled)

i noticed something not working too, the category filter not working.
as you can see , it have some vidéos from the category “videos” and shouldn’t be because i selected only “a la une”.

i finaly found the problem, your theme is not compatible with this plugin (simple tags) : https://fr.wordpress.org/plugins/simple-tags/

it’s a problem , for me and i think for all +100 000 people have that plugin installed 🙂

if you can fix that in the next rev will be a good thing .

it was a coincidence.

I disabled again all plugin one by one and no change about the ofset post .

For the duplicate, simple tag disabled fix the problem, but for the offset not.
i have duplicated post between the grid and the second bloc.

if you can fix that or tell me how to do

(for info “unique post” option is disabled, i know when i enable it , i have a lot of duplicate…cause of the infinite scroll)

Unfortunately the Simple Tags plugin is not tested to work with the theme and we cannot guarantee it will work 100%. We have not tested this plugin and we have no idea of the plugin functionality in order to provide an answer. Unfortunately time does not allow us to provide plugin implementation support.
If you really want to use this plugin we suggest you hire a freelancer to help you with implementation.
With regard at duplicate posts at the moment load more feature is not build to display only unique articles. Even if you enable the unique article option, that will check the page only at first load and if you’re using ajax to load posts in blocks there will still be duplicate article.
We plan to improve this feature in the future but it’s a very difficult task which require many investigations and tests in order to be achieved. I can’t say for sure how long will take until we mange to find a solution but we do our best in this regard.

ok for simple tags !

For duplicate post in pagination, excuse me but i can’t accept what you say , all infinite scroll plugin (jetpack for example) have fixed that problem of duplicate in the main query .
I don’t speak about unique post from all the blocks the page, juste the grid and the main block, , this is a bug !

And for the post offset , this is a bug too , it’s not working !

As i said , i setled the thoses two blocks like that :

1st block
Big Grid :
Offset post 0
filter on category “a la une”

2n block
Block 11 :
Offset post 5
Filter on category ” a la une”

Then , it should not display the first 5 post on block 11 , but it is .

Please fix that bug or tell me what to do.
i can’t accept that , just an answer said : ” it’s realy dificult, to have our function ready in the theme working…. ” lol

Sorry four misunderstanding and for any inconveniences encountered with the theme.
I’ve test this feature on my side with the last theme version available on themeforest and works fine. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all cachses, purge cdn files if you’re using then test again.

i use child theme,multisite setting,9.5k post, can you do it with this same context (your test) ?

I am not aware what customizations did you made in child theme and how they affect theme’s functionality. Try to deactivate the child theme and test your site again. We didn’t tested the theme on multisite but its functionality should be the same as on single site.
Regarding the code from child theme there is an important aspects that must be considered:
– if in previous theme’s version a specific code added in child theme worked fine that doesn’t mean that will work with a new theme version. When theme update many of its files are changed and it’s a good practice to check update_log.txt file for each update and see what files had been modified so if those specific files are used in the child theme you will have to check your customizations to not break the functionality of the theme.
