Google Webmasters is giving me a duplication error about “duplicate meta descriptions” and duplicate title tags on the home page and its paginated pages. For example naldotech.com/page/1, naldotech.com/page/2 and so on. I talked with the guys over at webmaster forums but they couldn’t provide a solution. Any ideas?
From what I have seen, paginated archives (tags and categories) have the rel=“next” and rel=“prev” tags while paginated pages of the homepage do not. Is there any way of manually adding them? Maybe a code to the functions.php file?

If you use something like YOAST SEO, it can help you control the meta data for supplemental pages — which is what I do.

I’m using Yoash Seo Plusign, and when I close “Pages” from indexation (putting noindex, nofollow tags? to prevent dublicates page/1..page/2..page/N) – Main Page dissapears from index too(

I am using YOAST but the problem is that I can set taxonomies only for paginated pages of archives such as tags and archives. I cannot do the same thing with the paginated pages of the homepage. Any solution?
I’ve no solution yet. Yoast can set noindex nofollow on pages (page/1..page/n), but this causes Main Page – to.
Need a solution, that will delete page/1..page/2.. dublicates from index : (
Hi, to do that you you can go to SEO > Titles & Metas > Other and enable “Noindex subpages of archives”. The pages on my site /page/2 , /page/3 …. have always been deindexed (noindexed) but the duplication error still appears on Webmaster Tools.
