When installing the demo content, 4 errors popped up during the installation. Afterwards, when browsing the site, icons and fonts are missing, it looks terrible. Not sure what might have went wrong?

Please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Then check memory allocation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Also you can ask the server for any blocked content from our server. Sometimes demos cannot install because of host firewalls blocking them.

As I have the same problem:
1) which cache where needs to be cleared?
2) what are cdn files? How to reset them?
3) I checked the DEBUG which is false, I added the line memory limit 64, i created the php.ini file myself and added the info
4) what kind of blocked content are you referring to? Any particular message I can forward to the admin of the server?

is it normal that the demo folders do not contain any pictures? No wonder they are not getting installed, I guess the same is then for the thumbnails and icons? Could the download-package been incomplete or broken?

1) All caching needs to be cleared
2) If you do not know what a cdn is, most likely you do not use it so ignore that part
3) make sure ALL of the entries here are green and in the recommended parameters: https://www.screencast.com/t/2BVUGuuO3p
