Hello,
I have the latest version of Newspaper 6 theme and the latest version of WordPress (4.2.2).
When I try to edit a category page, I get the standard wordpress settings page, not your custom page shown in your documentation. I uninstalled all plug-ins except for the 3 you require/suggest.
Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?

Hi,
Can you provide a screenshot with your settings? It should not be any issue with it, just go to the Theme Panel > Categories and you will have global settings that it will apply on all categories or you can set these option for each category – http://screencast.com/t/fEiEccEFOY2W – http://screencast.com/t/xtVn4WjV93yi

Not sure which settings screen you want. But my problem is not in the section shown on your screen grabs.
It’s on the WordPress Edit Category page you access from my website category page. This is the link structure to the page.
http://my domain/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?action=edit&taxonomy=category&tag_ID=6&post_type=post
It’s missing the template settings part.

When you are on category page in frontend and you want to edit that category – http://screencast.com/t/WEdJzHI2Pz it should take you to edit category name, description – http://screencast.com/t/WEdJzHI2Pz we didn’t do any customizations there you can check also with a default theme.

What I am really looking for is a way to change the category big grid drop down filter to filter by tag instead of the current latest, featured… etc.
Can I replace the code in td_category_template.php with the code you use in blocks to filter by tag? If so, were can I find it.
