Edit menu in multisite

Hello,

We own a copy of Newspaper 6 and we are currently beginning setup and development. We run in a multi-site environment and will eventually be purchasing additional licenses for each site. Unfortunately I think I’ve run into a bug.

When I go to one of the sub sites I can no longer edit the menus. The menu name option is missing and all of the options on the left are greyed out.

If I go to the main site I can edit the menus fine. I can also edit the menus correctly in the sub-sites if I change themes.

It will be very important for us to have different menus on each site and for the individual admins to update them. Is this something that you could take a look at?

Thanks!
Scott

Hello,
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer to rule out a plugin conflict. If this does not solve it then please provide wp-admin at contact@tagdiv.com so we can inspect this issue.
Thank you!

I’ve disabled all plugins and forwarded contact information as requested. I received a reply saying that they aren’t sure why it doesn’t work properly and they would have to dig further and try to re-create. I’m afraid the answer for now is that the Newspaper theme does not work properly on a multi-site install.

I’ll be sure to add a note here if I can figure out why or if the vendor is able to create a patch.

— FOUND SOLUTION —

This was indeed my mistake. I was running a plugin called Multisite Global Terms. Simply disabling this thing didn’t work. Once I dug into the code on the plugin itself I noticed that it was causing all sites to share the same menu as well. Menu’s are stored along with categories and tags.

I actually had to delete the site from the network, disable the plugin network wide and start again. I am now able to edit menus.

This issue was not at all the skin’s fault

Thank you for looking into this for me.
