Hi There,

I want to edit my static homepage in a way that i can control how my post are being presented.

I’ll first explain how i would like it and then i will show what i am trying to do to get this.
If there is another way (maybe easier) to achieve this please tell me.

I want my homepage just like it is right now. With the slider above and the sidebar on the right.
http://www.serinawilliams.nl/blog this is how it looks right now
The only thing I want to change is the ” latest posts ”

As you can see in this screenshot (from another website), the first post is large with the other posts being small.
http://prnt.sc/f3ydtt
I want that.

I tried adding a block to the visual composer just after the slider, but this will give me this result.
http://prnt.sc/f3ykd7
The original lay out is being pushed down

plus I can’t find a block that does what I want. One big post and the rest small.

Can somebody help me with this?

Hello SW1988,

I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using the pagebuilder+latest articles+pagiation as a page template, right? So, if you want to change the modules from this area, you can modify them from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Whn7XdVjpr9H For more information about our page templates, please check here-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/

Thanks for the message!

That is correct. I use pagebuilder+latest articles+pagiation as a page template.

I did what you said and looked up that area from the first screenshot but unfortunately i couldn’t find it.

I did find it at other pages though..

Hi,

The Latest articles sections is located in the page edit screen here
https://www.screencast.com/t/8nDC1Jv6yAas
If the section is missing please verify if it is checked in the screen options

Ah that’s it! I always forget to check that, thank you. It is showing up now.

I get now that you can change the modules from this area but i don’t see the option that i asked.
See the example screenshot. One big post and rest are small.
http://prnt.sc/f3ydtt this.

Or you can look it up live at the website ; http://adarasblogazine.com/

And i got one extra question: The button ” read more” where can i change the colors of the button ?

Hi,

You could achieve that like this. I added these blocks to the page
https://www.screencast.com/t/36ywCEy2u6
The first block (block 23) is set to display one post, and has the title Latest posts
https://www.screencast.com/t/EZ8lo90R
The second block (block 12) has no title and you can set the limit of posts and pagination you want for it.
The result is like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/59xVfwwejftA
https://www.screencast.com/t/o4wtqyP1
https://www.screencast.com/t/snEfyVPdiPs
Then you can disable the default Latest articles section, by selecting a different page template. Of course the blocks have the same options to filter and sort the content

Hopefully this suggestion will be helpful to you.

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for the extensive explanation.
I got it for the most part running now, exept the side bar is gone now.

I got the page template now up at : page builder + page title

How do i get the side bar back 🙂 ?

EDIT:
In this image i see you recreate a sidebar in visual composer. Is that the way to get the sidebar back ?

Hi,

You can set a sidebar in two ways. If you already created and configured a sidebar, and it is present in the Widgets section
https://www.screencast.com/t/OWdaN8PF4QgQ
You can add it to the page using a Widgetised sidebar element and selecting the sidebar you want
https://www.screencast.com/t/uoZfy1hX
Or just add the elements you want in the row column

Thanks
