Hi I have just started to experience major issues with posts. Have spent hours modifying a page http://pigsfly.info/2017/11/16/ponzi-scheme again and again and again only to find that the formatting changes have not stuck, not applied in any way. This is a background piece which will underpin a number of political articles that need to be published quickly. Without the back grounding it will make the stories ineffectual.
Going around the twist and would appreciate your suggestions and advise please.

That is an absolute b*****t response.After reading your reply I began trying to recompose a page and thought – well just check the settings for Visual Composer. Bugger me there is now NO Visual Composer installed, The recent update appears to have thrown it out. Worse in the Newspaper Plug In section Visual Composer is now listed as Optional – but wait for this – there is no facility to install the Visual Composer Plug In. What is going on.
Helps to read the changelog before doing major upgrade for theme versions, such as from 7x to 8x, just like going from major versions of WP or WooCommerce, etc., — AS THINGS CHANGE OVER TIME. Hence “optional.” If your read the info on the change with v8, they have provided a new simpler leaner faster plugin they have come up with call TagDiv Composer which I’ve been using in beta for looooong time over here. Works great. Visual Composer is still included but is optional for those setting up theme for the first time. If you check the ‘all files’ zip download, you will see VC is still there.
Generally good to also make backups of your dbase, site files, plugins and theme prior to doing any major update so you can ‘roll back’ if something doesn’t work.
