Editing posts from the frontend only works on the homepage and not other pages?

HI there, on the homepage of my site when you are logged in as an editor or admin there is a great function whereby you can edit a post that is displaying by hovering over the image like so and an edit button appears (if you are the admin or editor). Its shows like this: http://recordit.co/aKdogGpmbd

However if you visit one of my category pages or even a post page (when still logged in) then there is no edit button available for the editor or admin to edit the post if they spot a typo or anything like this? Any ideas on how to get this function working everywhere and not just on the homepage?

Hi,

The option to edit the post should be available regardless of location, if the respective user has the capability to do so. For me it is displayed on the category and post pages as well
