I’ve used a saved element on several pages and need to make edits to it so the edits will show on all places it was placed on. How can a saved element be edited?
Found question on this at https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/edit-saved-elements-reused-and-update/
Hi,
Considering that that block is not something global but static, you save it with the settings made when you save it. Maybe you should first create a block as you would like it to look, and only then use it on other pages.
Also, you can try to copy and paste the style for that block https://imgur.com/QOEBkZO
Thank you!
I am looking at doing something like this with columns – – as the widgets doesn’t seem to provide the same functionality . . .
It would be nice if the saved elements – – once updated – – were updated anywhere they were – – don’t always remember where they are placed – and it makes sense that they would update universally . . . .
Any possibility for that within the cloud template system . .. for columns?
Hi,
I answered here https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/save-as-element/#post-461449. Usually, if an element is saved, then if you made changes to it, it will not be changed for all, only that one that you edited.
Thank you!
That almost defeats the purpose of a saved element, column or row. Having the option to make something saved as global so that if edited for it to update globally is something that should be consider implementing. Every time I have to make an edit to one, have to find and remember all places that saved item has been placed on my site.
Yea— that would be a fantastic plan so it updates globally—-
