I’ve searched through the forums and the documentation. People ask but there isn’t an answer except to do a template edit. This isn’t what I’m wanting to accomplish, so I’ll ask again.
HOW do you control the items in the editor’s pick?
Are articles set to featured as a category? In which case, is this a category which needs to be added? Is there a checkbox somewhere? Is there an option in the theme panel somewhere?
Where are the INSTRUCTIONS for editor’s pick?
Yes, I want to keep style 1 but the editor’s pick is showing up blank. I hope I’m not being rude but this is really annoying. It’s shouldn’t be this challenging to select editor’s pick.
Answer: Editor Picks are done by choosing the “Featured” category within the post new / edit of WordPress. This should be in the documentation.

Editor Picks feature used a block_7 to display all the post that are featured. If you do not have this kind of sorting on your post, this section will be empty.
