Eliminate most of the social networks options in user profiles (Contact Info)

Hi, my users are feeling overwhelmed with the 43 options available for their Contact Info that Newspaper theme is offering.

How can I eliminate most of the social networks options available in user profiles (Contact Info)?

Hi,

You could remove the social media that you want from this file in the theme

They will be removed from the user profile page, if you remove them from that file.

I wish there was a way to allow me to add this modified file to my child theme. When I do, it doesn’t work. The only way it works is by modifying the file in the main theme which means I am going to have to remember to do this each time I update Newspaper. How about adding the option to toggle On/Off social networks for authors in the theme panel Social Networks tab? Just put the switches to the left of each network name.

Hi,

@Jerrad So a toggle for the admin to choose what social networks will appear in the author profile page. I could add this suggestion on the list, can’t promise anything unfortunately. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@Simion,

Just wanted to put it out there. If there’s a chance to make Newspaper more user-friendly, if you don’t ask, you’ll never get. Tell the designers thanks for making Newspaper such a great feature-rich theme. Hope to see the toggles in a future update!
