Can Empty Columns be deleted?

You can not delete the empty column only the row that contain empty columns.

There is an “empty column” between the last of my Front Page posts and Element Popular Articles, Featured Articles and Newsletter. Will deleting the row in between reduce the “gap” in between these 2? If not, how can I reduce this gap in appearance?

If you have an empty column it is better to remove it because you can always re-add it using tagDiv Composer.
