When an update is released there can be such issues, unfortunately. Due to the high volume of key verification requests that are made when attempting to use the automatic update method, our server may respond slower. This causes the key verification to timeout, and there will be a notification like the one you are receiving. It may work eventually if you try a few more times.
Or you could update the theme manually, through WordPress, or using a file manager. The latest version of the theme is available for download in your ThemeForest account – https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/ Using either manual method you can delete the old theme, install the new one, and update the plugins.

I have similar problem – when i activate key, system says: You have reached the maximum activation count. Please contact us via contact@tagdiv.com and we will solve this ASAP. Sorry about this.
My newspaper is completly legal. What is going on?

This message appears when the theme has been used on several websites.
You can use a license key for one single product. For the other domains/sub-domains, please consider buying another license key. There are two places for a license: one can be used for staging, and the other is for the live version of your product/sub-domain/website.

I have updated the theme manually. Please is it safe to uninstall the theme, delete and reinstall again? Because I’m trying to Troubleshoot a problem in my site?
