Hello,

after I have updated from Newsmag 4.9.5 to 4.9.6 I got an error on my website android-user.de:

“There has been a critical error on your website”

By switching back to the old version 4.9.5 the error occurs anyway. I must be restore the database from a backup, that the website works again.

First I tried the update over the update button. The second try was by copying the theme manually to the server. Both don’t works in my case.

Do you have an idea whats wrong?

Hi celhil, sometimes this problem can appear when the server do not have the proper resource or you have a plugin conflict.
Please make sure that all theme requirements were set as in our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
Here is an article about how to fix this problem:
There has been a critical error on your website.
Hope it will help you!

Hi Calin,

I’m setting up a staging environment actually. When finished I can test it “non productive” and if the error also occurs, we can analyze it better without heart attacks.

Best regards
Andre

Hi Calin,

after finish testing on a staging area I have found the very simple problem.

First I had updated the Theme, but without td-composer and td-social-counter. Then I got the error message and I wanted to solve this first . After updating both plugins it works fine.

Best regards
Andre
