I can change Excerpt length. BUT in case I add my own Except (not taken from the first sentence) it won’t be cut.
How I can cut both with your “Excerpt length” field: my own excerpts and default ones.

So if I understand correctly, if you add an excerpt here -> https://snipboard.io/mOVPM5.jpg and you set the excerpt length here https://i.snipboard.io/HID9jE.jpg is not count correctly the words, if is so it may be because is not recognize correctly the words from our language, to fix this you need to change in theme panel on letters and this will fix the problem -> https://i.imgur.com/AIZKv9S.png

you described problem correctly. My language is cut either I use words or letters!!! But it works ONLY when this field https://snipboard.io/mOVPM5.jpg is empty (in that case you cut from first post sentence)
I point your attention it doesn’t work when you filled in excerpt field and text need to be cut from there.
