In all of the articles on my blog, I write sentences summarizing the subject of the article in my “Summary” section. Some of these can be a little long.
Although the “Excerpt Length” is 25 in the “Excerpt” settings in the blocks I use on the homepage, the entire “Summary” text I mentioned above is displayed. It is not a problem for some pages (for example category pages) to be like this, I want it to be like this anyway. However, how do I get the excerpt section to be limited to 25 words in some blocks I want on the homepage?

The excerpt is a summary of post and if this is fill all from the excerpt field will be display, only if there is no excerpt set, then on will be apply the excerpt length on post content.

Hi Demir, I do not know exactly what has happen, but I make the answerer more clear.
The excerpt length option it will apply only if you do not have set a summary in excerpt field, in that case it will be take the first n words/letters from post content.

Ok Calin, I got the point. I don’t want to mess with writing additional code. Because there may be problems in the next updates.
But when you type something in the quote field, the “Quote length” information specified in the blocks should work. Thus, it will be a great convenience for users and it will be possible to display it differently on each page. I don’t think this is difficult to do. It would be very useful to have such a small but very useful feature when there are so many powerful features in the theme.
I use the Newspaper theme very much like and trust. So far, I have never regretted choosing this theme. It allowed me to create a blog whose design and content is highly appreciated by all users, without writing a single extra line of code.
