We are using the latest Newspaper theme with cloud templates and would like to exclude specific categories on our search results page. Is this possible?

Please check this article https://webhostinghero.org/how-to-exclude-categories-from-search-in-wordpress/ -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/functions.php
You can build a child theme and implement this, so it won’t get overwritten by the updates.
