Exclude Sub categoy on Megamenu

Im using the Megamenu option for my main menu, and there are some SUB CATEGORIES that I would like to EXCLUDE from showing in the MEGAMENU

I dont want to take out the subcategory of the main category because they belong there, but are not so important so I want to HIDE THEM

Any ideas how to do this?

There would be a method, it will require a modification to the mega menu block file. This topic is similar

You can make the modification in a child theme if you use one.

Thanks, I will give it a try.

Just to be sure, if I added to my child Theme, I need to add ALL the function get_mega_menu_subcateogies($att) {} with everything there and the modification, or JUST the function with the part I want to modify

Copy the actual file there and modify it, for example

Then the file will be loaded from the child theme as long as it is active.
