We’re trying to automate our WordPress blog using the WordPress API and for that purpose we would like to expose the Subtitle and Featured Video fields to the API.
This leads me to my questions:
- Are you planning to add support for your custom post fields to the API? From within your code this should be pretty straightforward.
- Can you let me know how your fields work internally? Are they post meta or do they behave like a “default” wordpress post field?
- What would be the best way to access the custom fields from a separate plugin or child theme? I intend to extend the API on our end but need to get and set the data correctly.

Hi,
I am not aware of such plans, I believe there are currently other tasks to be completed by our developer team. With each update we try to provide as many fixes and new featured as possible.

Sorry for any inconvenience. Maybe in the future such a functionality would be available also with the proper documentation. There are many suggestions and waiting to be considered, on our list.
