I am missing something here? No official support?

Hello,

Please check the support hours in the top right of this screen.

The only tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme are these ones:

WP Super Cache- caching plugin
Contact form 7- used to make contact forms
bbPress- forum plugin
BuddyPress- social network plugin
Font Awesome 4 Menus- icon pack, supported in the theme menus
Jetpack- plugin with lots of features *it may slow down your site
WooCommerce- eCommerce solution
WordPress (Yoast) SEO- SEO plugin
Wp User Avatar- Change users avatars
WPML – multilingual plugin

Anything beyond this list is not tested and I cannot say for sure if it will work or not.
The facebook plugin is not among te tested and recommended plugins list.
It is mentioned here that untested plugins are not covered by the theme support: https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/

Thanks.

Ok, i implemented the facebook sdk as per another thread on this forum, followed the guide exactly, but its still not appearing. I have instant article plugin installed. Could it be that other plugins are conflicting with facebook sdk?

Hi,

Please double check if you have made the modifications according to the solution provided in this similar topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/facebook-comments-2/
Also make sure comments are enabled in the WordPress settings and also for posts individually as mentioned there. The comments should appear if you try it like that.

Thanks

I did follow step by step exactly, even i see the code block from inspect element, i tried deactivating all the plugins but alas it doesnt work.

Can you please take a look at my single post template if i missed anything?

<?php

//get the global sidebar position from td_single_template_vars.php

locate_template(‘includes/wp_booster/td_single_template_vars.php’, true);

get_header();

Hi,

That should work for posts that use post template 1. I have tried it as well. I entered the code mentioned in the header file like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/A2t0dLAbTPO
Also I made a small modification in the code regarding the language
https://www.screencast.com/t/RSUWLkdQA
Then modified for example post template 2 with the other code mentioned in the topic
https://www.screencast.com/t/F9YPM8plWAsy
The result is that posts that use post template 2 display the Facebook comments

Hi,

This modification should not conflict with other elements. Enter the code I used in my test in the header file as shown, this is the code
https://pastebin.com/m17K6hqt
https://www.screencast.com/t/xuWb4ASn91
Then this code depending on sidebar position or replace the default code in all cases

<div class="fb-comments" data-href="<?php echo get_permalink($td_mod_single->post->ID); ?>" data-width="100%" data-numposts="5"></div>

https://www.screencast.com/t/XMTsNNBkk
Try it on one of the post templates and it should work. Clear all caching after making the modifications.
Make sure comments are enabled everywhere as well

Hello,
The code is returning a 403 error. Please check https://www.lifewire.com/403-forbidden-error-explained-2617989

Thanks.

Can you help me to fix the facebook comment? I tried every step you mentioned and i really need it working.

Post count: 22421

Unfortunately there is nothing we can help with. A 403 error does not come from the theme. It comes from your host. Please contact your host and check for any blocked files, check firewalls and security tools, etc.

Thank you!

I just noticed an error comes up when i reload the page where the facebook comment is placed.

After giving it a few try i was able to capture the error. It says
“href should represent a valid url”
Here is the ss

Hi, emailed a while back, please check.

The problem solved, it was a plugin that conflicted named html compression. However the facebook sdk conflicts with the speed booster plugin. I removed the deactivate code from the plugin php. Then when i activate the speed booster the facebook comments doesnt load. Is it possible to get it working along with speed booster?

Post count: 20688

Hi,

That is why the booster plugin has that predefined check list, it may cause certain plugins or modifications to not function correctly. In this case you could leave the booster plugin deactivated, so it does not conflict with the comments.
Note that Facebook comments are not a theme default option, so problems can happen.

Thanks
