Hi
I have set up the tagdiv social counter successfully as a widget. That’s fine.
However, I also have set my posts to show the share buttons at the bottom of each post. When I first installed the theme, all the post counts were correct. Later, they all seemed to switch to zero! My latest post has been shared over 200 times so I know the current count of five isn’t corrrect 🙂
Can you suggest what I need to do to fix it? All the social links are correct and the app ID/key etc is correct as shown by the working widget.

Provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it. Try to disable all of the untested plugins which can influence the theme core files and which can cause a lot of unknown issues.

The Facebook Classic only bring the information from Facebook and not send it to Facebook. For example, if your post is shared on Facebook, all the Likes will be displayed on your site for that post but the reverse is not true. I have inspected this feature and it seems to work as expected.

Thanks for checking my site. I understand that the amount of times a post has been liked is supposed to display on my site. The problem is that all of the likes I have had on my posts have returned to 0!
If you looked at my latest post, you will currently see there are ‘7’ likes. In fact, before I changed my theme, there were around 270 likes on this posts. My posts are quite highly shared which is why it is disappointing that only likes made after the theme was installed are showing.
I also tried a different share plugin and that also is doing the same.
I will do some further investigation with plugins.

From what theme you have changed? Notice that most likely, your old Facebook Like counter has the own counter system and that’s why, our theme does not recognize it and that’s why you bring 0 as result, sorry!

I was using Magazine Theme before with a separate share plugin.
Is there perhaps some custom css I could add which would remove the count but not the share buttons?
Edited to add that I tried my old share plugin but again the counters still show 0 so I think you may be correct that my old theme had it’s own counter in some way.
