Facebook Sharing

When a post is shared to Facebook a lot of text that doesn’t belongs to the post is pass to the Facebook wall.

Here’s a sample post:

Facebook is adding categories and the post date along with the post title and is suppose to only load the excerpt.

Can someone help with this?

Hi,

Please check your page source and see if your og meta data are added properly there and check an articles using facebook debugger(Fetch new scrape) – https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/ Theme doesn’t handle og: meta data, we also use a plugin for this on our demo – Seo by Yoast.
Also provide a link so we can take a look.

Awesome, just installing the SEO by Yoast plugin helped to fix this issue.
